What is the name of the type of pickle
That is bright green and tastes just like a salty cucumber? They sell them at delis a lot but not in jars. At least I don't think they do? Are they half sour or dill? And can you get them in a jar or from a supermarket?
When were in NY for the holidays, ILs took us to Ben's and DH and I took home an order of those pickles. Now there is only one left and I want more!! I'm finding it is a very good comfort food for me during my dissertation writing. And I have no complaints because it's a lot healthier than eating junk food.
So please tell me where I can get these! I live in MD and we have no kosher delis near us.

They sometimes call them "New Pickles" too.
In the refridgerated section of your market there should be Batampe brand pickles. They have a red and white label and top and are in a glass jar. They have several types (I personally like the full on puckering Garlic Dills) but I know they also have half sours.
In S&S by me it is by the cheese case in the refrigerated spot that they keep fresh pasta, boxed quiche and pre-sliced pancetta, salami and prosciutto. In some other markets it's right by the hotdogs/bacon/sauerkraut.
