Question for all the Runners out there
My sister is a runner. She has run in numerous marathons and she loves it. I still have a few things to get her for Christmas and I wanted to see if there are any "must have's" for runners. What do you think is a MUST HAVE that I can get for her? It can be anything from like hand warmers to special socks- to a headband- ANYTHING!!!
Thanks!!!

Re: Question for all the Runners out there
I recently got these arm compression socks. I love them! I use them when it's a little too cool for just a tank but I don't want to wear a long sleeve. I put these on and if I get warm I roll them down to my wrists...just a cool find. Many elite runners wear them..I'm not elite but thought for 25$ Id give them a shot.
I love Asics socks...they are the best about 11$ a pair.
I love visors to run, they are the best...or a nice dry fit outer layer that has a half zip I live in when it's between 20-40 degrees.
A road id is also a great gift. Might not get it in time, however you can order it and give her a picture of what she will receive. RoadID.com. I wear the shoe ID...and just got my DH one too.
Good luck!

Re: Question for all the Runners out there
Also there are two books I reccomend for a runner. Chi Running is great and interesting or Once a Runner which is more of a novel.
Last idea is a subscription to RunnersWorld magazine if she doesn't have. One of my favorite montly reads.

I agree with this gift but I would give her a gift card or an e-giftcard to the site so she can personalized the ID tag with info that you may not know about like allergies or something like that. I have my penicillin allergy on my RoadID.

Re: Question for all the Runners out there
Depending on what winters are like where she lives; they sell these grips for your sneakers if you have harsh/icy winters. They are called "yaktrax". They are pretty inexpensive and they grip the ice so a person can still run on the road when conditions are not optimal.

I am a new runner but I love the under armour cold gear micro fleece pullovers. They are so warm, and yet they keep you dry. Very nice if your sister runs outside in the cold weather.
