Made an Appt with Dr Braverman
I have my first appt with Dr B on next Tues at 2pm in the city. I am hoping now after my second miscarriage he can help give me some answers.
I am so nervous but atleast excited to start getting some answers.
What will the first appt be like. Is it just a consultation?
Do they take blood work immediately?
Also, should i request all my files from my OBGYN's office and bring them with me?
Anyone see him in the city, since he is there only one day a week does that mean I will have to do some testing in woodbury too?
Thanks Girls!!!

Re: Made an Appt with Dr Braverman
I don't see Dr. B., so I can't answer a lot of your questions. I can tell you that my OB sent my records and test results to my RE, so maybe you can call and ask them to do that. They may charge you for copies if you took them yourself. My first appointment was just a consultation (we talked about my hsg results and got a plan set...scheduled my surgery, etc) and I got blood taken that day.
Good luck! I am so glad you are going to get some answers!!!

It is nervewracking but Dr. B will definatly make you feel comfortable

Yes, it's a consultation appt. - although he took blood from me because I was CD 4 and instead of waiting for the next cycle he said that CD3 & CD4 levels were going to be close enough to give him an idea of what was going on with me. He also did a uterine sono while I was there to see how cystic my ovaries were.
I didn't get ALL my files from my OBGYN, I knew when they did bloodwork and a uterine sono so I requested just those (and DH's SA results) Dr. B looked them over but since the blood work was 6 months old he wanted to redo it all anyway.

Re: Made an Appt with Dr Braverman
good luck!!
My first appt. was just a consultation and I told him my life story! He then discussed starting with finding out what the issue might be. He ordered all the bloodwork, but I had to go to a lab for that. I got the results within a week and he called me with the results to discuss them and tell me my options.
I did feel good after seeing him, as my first OB did not order any blood work So, the fact that he ordered this I immediately felt like I was in the right place (finally). He did have all of my reports from my previous RE, and he was able to semi tell me what he suspected.

Re: Made an Appt with Dr Braverman
I don't see Dr. Braverman but I am glad you are on your way to finding answers! It seems like he is GREAT! At my first appt we discussed my story and then they set you for a bunch of tests... bloodwork and depending on what they suspect HSG etc. I also had an initial sono etc.. They may test DH right away or wait as well.
I suggest having him do the sample why wait any longer. It turns out my DH had a slight motility issue and I am glad we figured that out early!
Wishing you lots of luck!
