Oreo is freaked out by this storm!

He won't "make". We have tried dozens of times and have cleared an area for him but he keeps running to the door. I had to put him in his crate. Am I doing the right thing? I am hoping that if he decides he really has to go he will just go when we take him out snow or no snow. He's never been like this before.

He may be cold.

Daisy had this issue with snow too. We pave a large area for her to do her business. She can then sniff around to her typical area she squats and then she runs back up the steps wiht us following and comes back inside.

Maybe your path needs to be bigger, or take him on a leash and bare the cold for 5 minutes of so, until he gets the message that he needs to do his business. When he does, PRAISE him a a lot!

we live in an apt complex so he is always on a leash with us. dh is going to try again but needs to clear another path. poor puppy
