Re: with snow on Mother nature's menu for tomorrow..
I think I am going to give either lentils with pastina or chicken stew a whirl. warmed toasted bread.
either apple crumble or nutella pound cake for dessert.
full weekend menus...we normally don't eat lunch as we eat more of a brunch.
Sat: either pancakes or french toast with eggs and bacon...homemade cappucini.
dinner: one of the two soups above
Sun: probably eggs and ham..maybe some home fries and toast
Sun: sauce with meatballs and some kinda pasta. and a sauteed veg.
dessert will be birthday cake for my son, who turns 2 months old.
I'll be baking this weekend too...if all goes according to plan. though with an 8 week old....

Re: with snow on Mother nature's menu for tomorrow..
I'm supposed to be having party.
If no one can make it, I will probably be eating the spinach-artichoke dip & sausage balls for dinner.

Re: with snow on Mother nature's menu for tomorrow..
Sheer dumb luck had my whole week re-arranged so that today is my no cook night. BUT since I will be snowbound I will be cooking.
Saturday breafast was Breakfast pizza and OJ with hot cocoa for the littles and cappucino for Rob and I.
Midday will be grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Saturday Supper will be Chicken and biscuits.
Sunday morning we've got pancakes on tap.
Sunday lunch is probably leftovers
Sunday dinner is a small roast I managed to snag at the market today.

Making today:
- turkey meatloaf - roasted broccoli and parsnips with olive oil & garlic - corn casserole
Then we can have leftovers for tomorrow too
Already had cupcakes come out of the oven that DD will decorate later. And we're doing sugar rollout cookies later today or tomorrow.

Re: with snow on Mother nature's menu for tomorrow..
I'm making butternut squash soup right now (it also has a ton of carrots and some apple in it ) - it's a twist on a recipe I used to make all the time and I hope it turns out good!
I'm defrosting chicken tenders for dinner and trying to decide what to make with them.
I love baking but I lack patience so I won't be doing any desserts today

Re: with snow on Mother nature's menu for tomorrow..
tonight I am doing chicken fajitas.
Tomorrow breakfast will probably be pancakes.
Lunch - we always do some kind of crazy appetizer mix on snowy/cold sundays..like mozzarella sticks, popcorn chicken etc..so bad yet so good!
dinner I am doing a pork tenderloin with roasted potatoes and onions and carrots and parsnips.
I am also going to bake my spritz cookies and make some baby food for DD. oh yeah we are gaining about 10 lbs each this weekend!
