Is it bad that my pants are so
tight they leave red marks all over my belly? My friend told me I'm cutting off oxygen to the placenta or something like that. I'm only 10 weeks and just really bloated looking. I tried going up a size, but the pants are big everywhere and I still get a red mark (although less red than now). It's too early for maternity. What do I do?!?!?
Thanks!

Re: Is it bad that my pants are so
Are you using a rubber band to extend your pants? or perhaps you can invest in a bella band?

I have been living in strechy gauchos. The black pants I have on now have a draw string.

Re: Is it bad that my pants are so
I bought the bella bands and they don't work for me. I'm very pear shaped and they don't stay over the button, they always ride up. I guess I could try the rubber band trick.
The other problem I'm running into is my shirts are all short. I guess between the boobs and belly they don't sit on my waist anymore. So with the low waisted pants and high waisted shirts I'm a mess

Re: Is it bad that my pants are so
the gap has "barely showing" pants that just have a little bit of elastic in them- they're VERY comfortable.

ohhh those sound fun. Are they work pants or just jeans? The gap maternity by me is tiny so I guess I can try online.

I bought a pair of those at the gap...they run a little big. Also...I have about 4 of these from the gap...I love them and they run much truer to size: gap pants

Re: Is it bad that my pants are so
I say go shopping. At 8 weeks my pants were way too tight, at 10 weeks they fit wide open with the bella band but now at 12 weeks, I can't wear them at all (I tried yesterday and they are soooo uncomfortable, I almost went home in tears.)
I say for the the maternity pants. Maybe get some stuff with the full belly panel this way they can grow with you. If they are a little too big, then put the bella band over them and it will keep them from rolling or falling down--and it doesn't ride up like with regular pants.

Re: Is it bad that my pants are so
I have two pairs of maternity pants that I love- one pair os from Motherhood and one is from Target. They don't have front panels or anything, they just have elastic backs and are adjustable inside. I have them on the tightest button right now, but I can loose them as I get bigger.
