I <3 LI IVF!!!!
So I had my appointment yesterday with Dr K to discuss all of my AF issues and why I am SO frekkin tired all. the. time.
First of all, I haven't been there since I got pregnant so more than 1.5 years ago.
I walk in and the receptionist immediately recognizes me and asks if I have pictures of the baby :) She made me feel so good.
Then the nurse sees me as I am waiting and she was gushing over Sadie's birth annoucement (which I sent when she was born) She also remembered me and the exact birth annoucement. She said she Sadie was the most beuatiful baby of the year and that she even called her son when they got it and told him to consider the name Sadie for the baby her DIL was due with. It was SUCH a nice feeling and I couldnt believe they all remembered me so well. It felt like home....
Dr K also loved seeing pics of Sadie and said he cant wait to meet her in person I met with Dr. K and he agreed that the pill is NOT the answer and that we are going to run a bunch of blood tests and do another water sono to figure out why I am bleeding off and on so much. He did a sono and all seemed ok so I am going to fill a RX for provera (UGH...but I can deal...pyscho pills!) and when I get AF I will get bw done and schedule the water sono. He wants to check my thyroid to try and figure out the tired thing. Then he said if there arent any new issues that pop up he will put me on metformin again to see if that regulates my cycles a bit.
He also went over protocol for when I am ready for another transfer (hopefully this summer and I just felt so much better after talking with him.
I just wanted to give them all props bc I was so anxious going "back there" if you know what I mean. At the risk of being totally cheesy ...it was kind of symbolic for me because the new LIIVF in stonybrook is literally across the "street" in the medical park from my OBGYN so I could walk a few doors down and be at my ob. It was like one side...IF, one side...pregnant. So weird.
I am so happy that my concerns were taken seriously and I have a "plan" to figure all this out. Plus...talking about TTC again was just so exiciting.

That's great. Its good to have a plan of action. I can understand the anxiety before going back. I just went back to my RE to say hi, for them to see my belly, and it was a weird feeling, but nice.
