I'm not sure if this post was started bc of my post this morning but I have to say I'm not crazy paranoid about listeria. I was only worried bc I had eaten a deli sandwich two days earlier and then was vomiting with stomach cramps early this morning. I eat healthy and fresh foods even when I'm not pregnant so why not continue now? But when my husband and I eat at my parents' house on Sundays if I am feeling okay I will take a sip of my husband's wine. Literally one sip. Bc that little bit of alcohol won't even reach baby. But listeria can kill your baby so it's something to be mindful of. I totally disagree with just doing what our parents' generation did. Just look at the rates of FAS from then. It is real. They also put babies to sleep on their bellies and the rate of SIDS was much higher. Those are the facts. Just because we survived it doesn't mean all the other babies did.
You are so funny.

This post is 4 years old...you were the one who bumped it!
Hey I posted on it when I was newly pregnant 4 years ago! I just went back and read my response and I said I was nervous to eat cold cuts myself. I guess I got over that fast because I remember eating deli meat like it was going out of style when pregnant. Blast from the past!

I have a listeria question. . .
Okay this is beyond bizarre but I get email notifications when someone replies to my post and so I clicked on the link and it brought me here!!!!!! WTFFFFFF. I mean it was on my iPhone but seriously lmao. The only thing I can think of was when I clicked the link I almost immediately and unknowingly clicked the "Potentially Related Topics" section and ended up here. But I so thought this was brand new and feel like a COMPLETE MORON. I am blaming it on pregnancy brain combined with caring for 18 month old son brain. But even that doesn't justify how idiotic I feel lol.
