Swell up like a balloon?
I'm reposting with the hope I'll get more responses, because I'm really concerned. Right now I look 5 months pregnant and I just had my IUI on Friday. I'm huge. After I got my trigger, followed by Lupron cause I was about to ovulate too many, I swelled up big time. I'm extremely uncomfortable, in pain and HUGE. None of my clothes fit. It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen. The doc said it could happen and normal, but it doesn't feel normal or natural. Has anyone experienced this and if so for how long? I'm going in tomorrow to get a sono to see just how much fluid I'm retaining, but I hate that they keep telling me it's normal when my stomach skin is stretched to the max and I can barely move without groaning from pain for the past 4 days.

Re: Swell up like a balloon?
I am so sorry you are so uncomfortable.
Good thing you are going back to DR..... I think it will take a load off your mind to know that everything is ok with the sono check-up.
I have only done IVF, so my experience is different. However, EVERYONE at work was looking at my tummy and "asking" other girls about me bc I looked TOTALLY preggo after transfer and all my meds. I was very uncomfortable too. I almost walked hunched over slightly because I was so bloated, distended and uncomfortable. But I think the biggest concern in IVF world is the overstimulation- which thankfully I did not have. JUst a whole lot of bloating.
I hope it goes away soon. I remember mine took some time. Meds have a huge effect on your body.... after three months of meds I feel like I am only getting my flat tummy back now. At last!

Thank you so much for telling me this. It's comforting to know that I'm not alone in this.

Re: Swell up like a balloon?
I agree with Ricaim. Unfortunately my experience was the same with my IVF cycle and retrieval last week.
Do you know how many follicles they are finding? Also, do you have PCOS at all? I do and i know that the tendency to overstimulate is much greater.

Yes I do have PCOS and I believe it was 6 follies, which is double what I had last round.

Re: Swell up like a balloon?
I feel as if I've gained 10 pounds in the past 2 weeks!
The RE retrieved 14 follies 3 weeks ago and I'm still bloated! I can't even button up my jeans, which were semi-loose last month! I haven't changed my diet at all, but my pants are getting tighter. I'm only 5 weeks preggers so I have no idea what's up with me!

I'm wondering if its possible but not sure. I had 23 follies but thats a lot for clomid. I know i only had 1 and 2.
Hope you are feeling better today!
