how much for roof?
We just bought a house but it needs a brand new roof. How much will that cost us about??

We paid $6k -they ripped off the old layers and put on a new architectural roof....
I say shop b/c around it depends on so many thigns ( material, if new or over an existing layer, etc,etc...)we got quotes from 5k-10k

It depends on a lot of things. What kind of house, how many layers you have etc. I have a colonial and we are getting estimates now that range from 3200-7000.

We only had 1 original layer so with one layer put onto of it, it was $3,000.

Just had this done in Feb.
We have a ranch that needed 2 roofs ripped off and a new arch. roof put on. $4200 including dropping in a skylight.
