PCOS and follistim
girls with PCOS that have used follistim, how did you respond?
i am doing femara/follistim this cycle. last cycle i did 50mg clomid and had no mature folllies (largest was 14 and stalled out).

I have pcos and did follistim for my first ivf cycle....I responded very well..... they got 16 eggs.

Me too! I never used follistim for IUI only Clomid (there was only 1 or 2 follies). But in my IVF cycle I had 23 and 16 were retrieved.

i am using it every other day cd 4-10 because we are doing timed intercourse, not IUI - so i dont need too many follies! just a good one or two!
i have only done one shot so far and it was way easier than i thought it would be. although i found that about 5mins after i felt like i was going to pass out or throw up, but then about 10 mins later it passed and i was fine, just drowsy. overall wasnt a bad experience on the first one. i have another one tonight.

I didn't respond to 100mg or 150mg of Clomid. My first cycle on injectibles I produced 9 follies and my IUI cycle was cancelled. After that my RE lowered my dosage and I produced anywhere from 2-4 follies. Good luck!
