I'm tired of baking
4 days, 18 dozen cookies later.. I'VE HAD ENOUGH! All of these cookies are for DH and my work colleagues so we're doing it now so we dont go thru the trouble then they are all on vacation the last week of the year.
Last batches are going into the oven this afternoon. Then I just need to wrap them all. I have never been so thankful for the Kitchenaid stand mixer...
Is it bad that for my family I will just get something from the bakery?

Do you freeze them? I always want to bake ahead of time but wonder how to keep them fresh.

I couldn't agree more. I would never be able to bake the amount of cookies that I bake without one! Good job on the baking. I will be starting mine this weekend all through next week.

I don't freeze them, I just put them in metal tins with tinfoil on top. But I made them last week with the intention of giving them out this week or next - they usually stay for 2 weeks that way.
If I was making them for Xmas day, I would have made them this weekend instead. (These are all work gifts and with everyone being out on vacation I wanted to get them out early instead of going thru all the trouble of making them and then no one is here...)
