Organic Cat Food
Does anyone feed their cat organic cat food?
Where do you buy it,what brand do you buy.
Any tips to save money on this, it is $$$$$
What about all natural labeled products, is this at least a little better than the regular stuff or should I not bother?

Re: Organic Cat Food
Here's my Sushi story...
When we first took her to the vet after we adopted her from Babylon Shelter, she tested FHIV+ The vets said she could still live a very long normal life just need to be a little more careful with her and hopefully in 6 months she would grow out of it. So I decided to feed her only natural food and to stay away from "meal" and byproducts and started feeding her wellness. The vet also sent me home with a kitten care package which contained a sample pack of Iams. I just put this on top of the microwave cart which is where it sat for nearly a year. At Sushi's 6 month appt we found out that she indeed grew out of the FHIV but kept her on the wellness. When she turned one year old, I bought a bag of adult welness to start transitioning her off the kitten food. Almost immediately when I started mixing she stopped eating her dry food. After 3 days of her only eating her wet food and not touching her dry, I decided to find that Iams package before I went out and spent money on a whole bag....wouldnt you know that there were TEETH marks all over the bag????? She apparently had been climbing up into the cart to get at this pouch....so I started mixing the Iams into her wellness to transition her and she would then pick out the Iams and LEAVE the wellness... I figured to heck with the transition, just bought a bag of Iams original chicken formula and she has been fine ever since. Apparently my kitty felt she was old enough to make her own food choices PS...Iams is about 8.99 as opposed to the wellness which I believe I was paying nearly double

Re: Organic Cat Food
Thanks! I will check out the Iams brand and the other one mentioned.
My cat has no health issues, I just saw a movie and have been learning about the way we treat food animals in this country and it kind of made me think - the pet food is the stuff not even good enough for people food. If I am improving the quality of what we eat, I wanted to do the same for him.
Anyone else with tips?
