Beta 8 days?

So I am scheduled to have a beta and progesterone test on monday. I called to confirm I was going for a beta and they said yes. When I asked why so early I didn't get a response other than that the Dr. ordered it.

I never had my progesterone tested a week after an iui either, this is my third one. Is this normal and why do they test for it?

I think its normal but not sure why RSC doesn't do it usually. If they find that your progesterone is too low, they'll put you on supplements which can help. I was on them for my last IUI.
