bakers please help-
i want to make chocolate chip cookies with a peppermint flavor.
i need peppermint extract
i accidentally bought Mint
is it the same?
(we're italian, we never use these flavors-dont hold this against me lol)
IF i use the Mint, will the cookies taste more like mouthwash or something?

I don't think they will give you the exact same flavor. Mint is more like the taste of an andies candy than a peppermint flavor.

I learned the hard way that they are not the same when making homemade ice cream. The mint tasted horrible, like mouthwash.

Nestles makes mint cholocate chips and M&Ms has mint flavored m&m's also so I would use those mixed in with some regular chips instead of putting extract in the dough. Maybe also make a chocolate cookie instead of regular.
I think I might have to make something like this now
