This weather is going to beat me!
I'm all for running in the winter. But the icy wind is AWFUL!!! I just can't do it!

Just this week I decided it's time for me to run on the track at the university gym. I was DREADING getting up in the morning to run, and it wasn't about the run. It was the cold, darkness. I mean why should I dread my runs? So I gave up and started running inside. While there aren't any hills, at least I'll actually do the run instead of chickening out, which I was doing towards the end of my outside runs. I would just say oh it's too cold. I'll go tomorrow. I figure this will hold me over until March.

I don't think I'll be running outside again until April. I'm not happy about it because I love it better than the treadmill, but I just can't tolerate the cold.

I am upstate and as of last Saturday I decided no more running outside. The wind is brutal and on Wednesday we got 8+ inches of snow. I now have a gym membership.

I am going to have to get a gym membership now too..... I don't want to pay for it but I REALLY want to keep up my running up........ I haven't ran in about 2 weeks. Too dark & cold in the mornings before work!

Yes I did it was kind of boring though! I wish we ran more down Wantagh Avenue instead of just through the neighborhood!

I really psyched myself up for running outside but, the 1st cold day I had trouble with the wind. So I started running inside that was until my knee started acting up. Good thing I didn't buy any cold gear like I was going to!
