Is there any rhyme or reason...
to how airline tickets are priced...
Meaning that 2 weeks ago, I looked into a flight and it was $300/person...
This week (as in a few days ago) I look and it was under $200/person...
DH and I put in for the dates at work, got our approvals, and I went to purchase the ticket and now its back up to $300/person again...
Im trying to decide if I should wait it out, or change the dates(which would be kinda hard since we would have to submit new requests at work).....
When is the BEST time to purchase tickets???

I read that prices can be lower on Tuesday/Wednesday nights because less people make purchases then. Then they go back up again on other days when more people buy. I dont know how true it is but if you are not traveling for a while it's worth waiting until next week.
Also, Kayak.com has a farewatcher - you can track the prices for your flights and hope for something better.
It's all a crap shoot though. Good luck!
