Stage 1/2/3 foods...
At what age have you started all of these foods?
Stage 1: 4 months Stage 2: 6 months Stage 3: haven't started yet...
I think Emily is getting sick of the mushy textures -- she loves when I give her pieces of rice, cooked carrot, chicken, etc. but I know it is too soon to start Stage 3.

Stage 1: 4mths Stage 2: 6mths Stage 3: Going to start soon.
Julia doesn't like the stage 2 foods anymore she rather eat stuff my DH and I do. I give her rice (her favorite), carrots, shredded chicken (tiny pieces). I want to give her more, but not sure what she can have. No teeth yet!

I've been giving Emily tiny pieces of our food lately also and she's so much younger then Julia. I feel like such a bad mom when I do this --- but she is NOT liking the mushy stuff lately. She grabs the spoon from me, scoops the mush off ,and smears it all over the tray -- and then licks it back up off of her fingers. She just wants to feed herself and not with spoons -- so little chunks of what we eat is just easier --- she loved the little bits of carrots, chicken and rice tonight meanwhile it's been like pulling teeth to get her to eat -- yet she LOVED it and couldn't get enough of it!

Julia is doing the same thing with her foods, she rather play with it then eat it, so is just easy for me to give her our food. She has a doctor apt next week so I will see what other food I can give next. Dont feel bad about giving her foods if she likes it, why stop?

Re: Stage 1/2/3 foods...
I've never done stage one unless I needed it to add in to test for an allergy. We've been on Stage 2 since 4 months and will be moving up to stage 3 with in the next 1-1.5 months, probably. I don't use much of stage 3 either.
I've also already started giving pieces of table food.
Both of my kids are the same and like real food and do well with it.

Stage 1 5months
Stage 2 we started right after he tried all the stage 1's - about 6 months or so.
He's 8 months and we are still on stage 2 (basically b/c I bought a bunch and still have lots of stage 2)
