First IUI

I am doing my first IUI next month.

I have been trying for 22 months now.

What was your success rate? did it happen in the first month.

There is a male issue (low motility)

we don't have a male factor and we were told that we had about 11-20% of conceiving thru iui. Different doctors will tell you different things.
We have had 2 iui and both have failed so far.

I had 3 IUIs with clomid fail. I hear many stories about it working on the first try for some people though. Good luck!

First Good Luck. My DH and I were unexplained. IUI w/ injectables was August- BUST. We were crushed. IUI round #2 was October and it was BFP w/ TWINS, due Juky 7,2010. My husband and I were going to do IUI three times before moving onto IVF. I never did clomid-I felt it was a waste. If u can inject yourself w/ medicine do the injectables. I never had any reactions to the medicine.

Remeber the ultimate goal is to get pregnant, keep the faith and hang in there. We got pregnant after 17 months of trying.

IUI's work differently for everyone. I did my first round natural and back to back BFN my second round I took 50mg of clomid and did the back to back and got a BFP. My DH has a slight male motility issue as well.

Everyone is different and I heard a lot of success stories on the first IUI being successful. We tried 4 IUI's and the 4th was successful, but ended sadly in a m/c. I have no infertility issues at all, but my husband has severe male factor infertility.
