Where should we go-4 days
So my IL's are moving here(Raleigh, NC area) in January and we are going to go away for 4 days without the kids We are willing to fly or drive. We want somewhere warm. We love eating out and having a few drinks-so there has to be a nightlife. We also like exploring during the day, either historical areas or outdoors. We are pretty open as long as the plane ride is less than two hours.
So far I have thought of:
Miami,
The Keys
St. Augustine(never been)
Mexico?
Any other ideas?

What about New Orleans?
Delicious food, active night life, lots to do. You might be able to catch a mardi gras parade (the go on for 40 days before ash wednesday).

I would take a 4 day cruise to Key West/Bahamas/CocoCay. We went last year and had the best time and it's very reasonably priced.

I would highly recomend the Excellence Resort in Playa Mujeres, Mexico...but the flight to Mexico is longer than 2 hrs..I think it is @ 4 hrs.
The only warm place that comes to mind for a 2 hr flight is Miami.....and who doesn't LOVE Miami ?!?!?!

I agree. With only 4 days the travel time to Mexico would be a waste. Key West might be an option as well. If I'm not mistaken, I believe if you fly into Orlando you can get a connecting flight directly to Key West.

Thank you all! I didn't even think about New Orleans-my DH went there for his bachelor party. Also this will probably be in the Spring sometime-our 5 yr anniversary is in June
ETA: we are also willing to drive up to 4 hrs so DC coudl be an option though it won't necessarily be warm-but lots to do!
