Another treadmill purchase question...

Since I just had baby #2, I think my running outdoor time and gym time will become very limited. So I'm thinking of a treadmill so I'm around for the little ones. I primarily will use it for running, probably no more than 20-25 miles per week. I'd prefer to keep the price under $1,000 if possible, but know that might be tough since I want a model that will hold up to running. Any suggestions? I was looking at a Sole model that was $999 or some Nordic Tracks.

I have a NordicTrack and the belt just recently "broke" (not the belt but something dealing with the belt) I've had it since 2004 - some weeks I put more miles on it - but from March-December it barely gets anything. But I would get another NT


One thing that you should make sure you get is a wider belt. you want wider for running, since your gait is wider when you run than when you walk. 20" rather than 18

We just bought a Nordic Track I think it's called 7 something I love it. We paid about $900 out the door. Got it at Sears. I use it almost everyday

Thanks so much. I was looking at a few Nordic Tracks, but was unsure if they would be good for running.

I run 6.0 - 8.0 on it and it's very sturdy.

i just bought one yesterday at sears. its a nordic track on sale for 599, fan, ipod - i opened the sears card yesterday, no payments and no interest for a year! i also got the extended service warrenty- they come to the house and repair it, maintain it, etc. the grand total was 850.00

That's what we did too mine was a tad bit more but same concept
