Right on schedule, i guess *updated*
I'm happy to say that i seem to be RIGHT on schedule for a change!
I had an awful migraine yesterday which was a sign, but thankfully feeling better because today I got what i'm guessing is considered my lupron bleed.
The only thing that kind of confuses me is that I don't go back to the dr until Sunday which would be CD5. I would have thought i'd go back sooner. Does that make any sense? I know that would make 12/9 2 weeks which is exactly when my 'possible retrieval' is scheduled but i guess i thought i would start stimming sooner than this.
I'm really not looking forward to spending 3 hours at the dr's office on sunday either way! **********************************
Well it wasn't as bad as I thought this morning. I got to the dr's office about 10 min before they opened. I waited a little over an hour. I have to say, it was a GREAT group of women there this morning. Everyone was very open to talking and sharing. I laughed quite a bit as well which was exactly what i needed!
They waited until after 2 to call and give me my protocol. I started stimming tonight Mixing was extremely rough and i am not certain i did it correctly. I threw out the first vial because i knew it was wrong. I Know i am going to be extremely black and blue!
I go back on Wed for my first Follie check.

Re: Right on schedule, i guess
They tell me that I'm in a "holding pattern" while on Lupron: essentially menopause.
I needed to time my IVF cycle (work). I started "CD9." I've been told not to worry about that: everything should be on hold. I really hope it's true. The bag of needles is really big. Lots of waste if a follicle has started to develop.
They (your RE) also time how many people start on a given day to avoid 1 day with lots of retrievals (though they can't perfectly time it).

We'll be waiting. Unfortunately they don't make appointments so its first come first serve. Plus, of the 4 offices, the one i go to is the only one thats open on the weekend so ALL the patients have to go there from out east to brooklyn. Last time we were there around three hours .
I think this time we might sign in and go to breakfast or something depending on how many people are there.

Thanks that definetely makes me feel SO much better!
I have to call them on fri or sat. The only think i didn't know about is whether i needed to take the lupron shot that morning. First off that would be day 15 and there are only 14 needles in the kit (though i know i have plenty more). Also, do you stim and take lupron at the same time?

Re: Right on schedule, i guess
Yup. I've used up all the needles in the box... I'll be getting some more soon (I'm using some extra that I had from somewhere).
They cut my Lupron dose down to 5U (from 10) and I continue up until the day before retrieval.
I expressed concern about having not enough Lupron... they don't think it's an issue.
I take the Lupron at night.... but I'm guessing that you continue on it til they tell you otherwise.

I realized that you continue to take the lupron because it helps control ovulation and helps them to take control of the cycle.
