Virgin America vs. jetBlue

We're going to Vegas in March and would normally fly jetBlue but their prices are a lot higher than other airlines. We are spoiled by having the TVs to combat the almost 6 hour flight so we're thinking possibly flying Virgin America. How was your experience?

I never flew Virgin America but I would if it was a better price then other airlines. I would bring a portable DVD player or laptop to watch a movie, or cards, an easy book to read or what have you to pass time. My friend downloaded some TV series to her I-touch for her flight to HI.

I took Virgin America in June and the flight was awesome. No complaints here.

The great thing about Virgin America is that they have TVs so you don't have to bring a portable DVD player or anything like that. Similar to jetBlue Chat Icon

Oh no, it's just a toss up between jetBlue and Virgin America. We do love jetBlue but they are pricier than VA but VA charges baggage fees and jetBlue doesn't. VA also charges for food and jetBlue doesn't charge for their snacks. It's an almost 6 hour flight and I need to eat! Chat Icon I'm trying to see if it would be a real difference or not.

I flew Virgin America to Vegas in August

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!

They also have the tvs in all the head rests for each seat -- as well as the live DirectTv---plenty of music to choose from to listen to, for creating a play list during your flight, and even free games to play like Bejeweled, Doom, etc.

The seats were comfy and even the ambiance on the plane was relaxing, with their "mood lighting". I liked that you could just swipe your credit card and order food thru out the flight and it was brought to your seat very quickly.

I highly recommend them!

I love VA. I have been to Vegas four times this year. I usually end up flying JetBlue going and VA coming home because it works out cheaper. But I prefer to fly VA.

If you can.... go for Main Cabin Select. I love it and can only fly this way. If you don't book it originally, you can buy it for $100 at the airport or I believe online 24 hours prior to the flight. With main cabin select, your suitcase is included as well as all food and movies.
