Tsimmes recipe
Here is my Tsimmes recipe from my mom if anyone is interested. I'm making it tonight for our international potluck lunch in my lab tomorrow.
6-7 carrots 1 white onion 1/2 lb blade steak (I just used stir fry beef) 1 large sweet potato 1 tsp flour 1/4 cup brown sugar
Peel and cut up onion, and cut up blade steak. Cover in water and cook 15 mins. Add cut up carrot and sweet potato to meat and onion and cook for 30 mins or until soft. Add 1 tsp flour to thicken mixture. Mash up and add brown sugar.

Yes. Actually I did kind of long discs and just mashed them in but not completely.
My mom said that anything sort of goes with Tsimmes. So there are a lot of variations. I think you can also add raisins. I thought of this too late to add to mine.
