I am just wondering with all this talk how old our underground oil tank is. Who would I call at the town of Babylon to find out? Which department?
Also,... is the a particular back taxes person?

When I called to find out about the state of the oil tank in our prospective house last week, I called the Nassau County Health Department. They had all the info I needed. So I guess you'd call the Suffolk County Health Department.
