How did it come out and did you just add a mushed banana to the puree?

Re: Has anyone ever added banana to pumpkin pie?
i haven't added it to pie, but i have used it in pumpkin bread, to use as a substitute for eggs (i was vegan at the time)
it makes things more moist.....are u using it to substitute another ingrediant?
what i will tell you is that the banana flavor will definately be present..(not sure if thats your goal)
but ive read it compliments the pie well, and there are many recipes for pumpkin/banana combos.
oh and i'd mush it. or, you can freeze it (after slicing it into little pieces) and puree it..it comes out like a thick frozen yogurt (also a tasty treat!)
good luck!

Funny I was just watching a Food Network show and Bobby Flay made a Pumpkin/Banana Pie. It looked awesome, I bet you could get the recipe on foodnetwork.com.

DS is allergic to bananas so no adding it for us. However it will make things moister.
