Why is he doing this?
We adopted a dog in Sept of 08. We had him fixed before we brought him home from the shelter. All of a sudden over the last few days he keeps trying to hump ME! He tries to get my arm, my leg, even my hip if I'm laying on the bed.
What's going on?

Re: Why is he doing this?
Dogs hump as a way of showing dominance. It is their way of showing who is in charge, aka pack leader. You will see this at the dog park regardless if the dogs have been fixed. He is trying to show you he is in control. When he does it you need to push him off with a stern NO.

I think even if they're fixed they'll still do this.
My yellow lab was fixed 10 years ago, and while he doesn't hump people, he humps every bed i've ever bought for him
