Please help me settle a debate with the hub
If you live in a single family home, and you cant see out your front door. do you have a peep hole?
I have windows in my front door but they are very high and I cant see out. DH travels a LOT and if someone comes knocking I cant see who they are.
He seems to think peep holes are only on apartment and condo doors (not sure why).
Do you have a peep hole?
I do want to add he will install it in a heartbeat at my request, he just thinks its odd.

We have one (it was already there when we moved in), and my parents have always had one in their house too. Not odd ad all, IMO.

I have one and I live in a two family home. The main door going outside does not have windows in it, so it has a peephole. I've seen plenty ofsingle family homes like this also.

Re: Please help me settle a debate with the hub
We have windows high up in the door, as well as two peep holes - one at normal eye level height, and one at waist height
Our door is so old and heavy solid wood that i assume it's original from when the house was built in the 30's. But, who knows why there's a peephole at waist height maybe for kids?
My parents house had a peephole in the door as well.

Someone who lived there was probably in a wheelchair -- that is why the peephole is waste high!

We don't have one - we have a window in the door - but my parents do. I cannot imagine not being able to see out the door before opening it!

We don't have one. We have a window on the side of our door that I can look out of.
If I didn't I would want a peep hole. Totally understand your concern.

We have one but we live in an apartment so I guess that's no help. But it's so high, there's no way I'd ever be able to use it!

We don't, but I would like one. I can see out my front window well enough, usually, but I don't always want the person knowing I am home.

Re: Please help me settle a debate with the hub
We don't have one but I wouldn't mind one - the door has no window at all. I can always look out the windows in the living room but depending on how close the person is to the door I might not be able to see them from that angle.
There is probably a new door in our future anyway, and I would like one with a window!
