Picking out faucets
I must be the only one who is FREAKING OUT about picking out bathroom faucets. How complicated can it be?
Apparently, I am the only nuts. Our contractor was NEVER asked the questions I am asking.

there's a first time for everything!
Did you pick out light fixtures yet? Those are even more difficult than the faucets.

That one was easy. We picked the 1st or 2nd one we saw and we have not find another one we like as much since then.
But for tile I have decided I will pick each tile individually. There is a huge variation and I have MAJOR OCD.

I literally laughed out loud at that one.

I freaked out about this too! I even cornered Vern Yip at a party to get his opinion on chrome vs. oil rubbed bronze! He confirmed what I was thinking.... Go with chrome, it's the most timeless of all the options.
And, FWIW, I ended up going with Moen's ShowHouse line—the Waterhill collection.
Love my faucets!

When I tell you I drove across Long Island looking at light fixtures, I tell no lie. It took me the ENTIRE time it took them to gut renovate my bathroom in a concrete co-op (around 4 weeks) to find a light fixture. Restoration Hardware is the FIRST place I'd look now, and suprisingly reasonable for them!
