AF is in the building.... IUI #2 was unsucessful

First, I want to start off by saying hello to everyone! I haven't been on the board in weeks. I had a lot going on at work and in school.... but now things have finally calmed down.

AF arrived yesterday, less than 2 weeks after my second IUI. It really hit me hard yesterday but I'm trying to pick myself up and move forward now.

The doctor who performed this IUI suggested that DH & I come in to consult with our doctor and discuss our next setps if the procedure wasn't effective.

DH & I are going in to see our doctor tomorrow afternoon and I am not too sure what to expect. My 2 IUI cycles were both with 50mg of clomid. Where do we go from here? What are the "nest steps"? I'm VERY nervous....

I'm sorry that it didn't work. How many follies did u get w/ Clomid?

Have you and your DH been diagnosed with anything.......or is it unexplained?

They can suggest injectibles but if you made 5 follies with clomid, you'll probably make a ton with the injectibles .

I am sorry this round didn't work either.. I am right behind you...now in the 2ww with my 2nd IUI and clomid. I also had 4 follies this time... Kudos for thinking about the next step and moving forward. I have an appt to do the same even before AF is due so we don't waste anytime next cycle. I hope you find some answers. I think injectibles will be the next step even though we will prob have lots of follies.. I am pretty sure they want to do at least 3 IUIs before something else. Have you looked into mini IVF.. I just started to look into it.

So sorry that iui wasn't successful. I am also right behind you, tomorrow will be 13 days past my iui and I keep getting BFN....I've given up on testing. Wait for AF to arrive.

I really hope and pray we all start getting some beautiful BFP's soon!

So sorry. My one failed IUI crushed me so we moved straight to IVF. We have MF issues though.

I am currently in my IVF cycle although I have only been on Lupron. So far it's not that bad but like I said, I really haven't done any of the major meds yet. I would speak to your doctor about doing maybe one more IUI then moving to IVF....
