Mixed feelings on family news
So we just found out that my SIL is around 4.5 months PG with her second child due in April (i think). She had IVF with her first but the second was natural (and i'm not sure if it was really planned).
When i found out i started crying. If our first cycle had worked we'd be around the same schedule. I know i need to be hopeful for this cycle for us. I'm scared more than anything. I want to blame the emotions on the meds but i think its too soon for that. While i'm really happy for her, it just makes me sad for my own failures.
I know i shouldn't feel this way but i do. It's just so hard for me.

I was the same way! On Saturday, I found out another friend is pregnant. I was devastated. While I was happy for her, I feel like everyone is getting pregnant except for me. I had a pity party, cried, and I am better. It will happen!

I'd probably be reacting the same way. Don't feel guilty about it. You're going through a lot and it's undertandable. I'd probably cry it out privately and try to avoid the situation until I was ready to face the person without breaking down and truly smile at their blessing.

It's natural to feel that way. My (younger) sis got prego on her 1st month of trying. When she told me, I was kind of happy, but sobbed for days.
U just have to believe that your time will come too!

Oh god - that is my worst fear. I know that my SIL plans to try for #2 this summer and I am so afraid that i won't be pregnant by then. I think that your reaction is totally normal. I have already had two friends get pregnant accidentally with their second children since I started TTC for my second. It's really hard because there is such a mix of emotions of happiness for the other person but extreme disappointment for yourself. Hang in there though, I really believe that it will happen for all of us eventually.

I feel the same way. Everyone around me is pg. While I'm always happy for them because I would never want someone else to go through IF, I feel bad. I feel guilty for being jealous. I hate baby showers, its just so sad for me to go into BRU buy a gift, look at all the cute baby items, and feel like "why can't it be me". I think its just a natural response. I hope we all get there soon!!!

True: I judge how long I'm trying based on the AGE of the child + 9 mos (we started trying at the same time). It's amazing to think how old the kid would be if we got pregnant easily.

I know how you feel We first started TTC in 2007 and began IF treatments in the summer of 2008. During 2008, 3 of my SILS as well as numerous other family members all had babies. It was a difficult year. It is perfectly normal to feel the way you do

It's funny because I went off BCP before my wedding 2 years ago. In 2008 there were 5 babies which included both my SIL and sister.
I am so happy for SIL because of what she went throughand I love my niece and nephews but I still have my moments.
