Re: LAWNMOWER

I don't have one for sale - but we bought one at Lowes last year or two years ago for cheap. Alot of times they have refurbished ones.

We are not selling one either, but we got the kind you are looking for last year on sale at Sears and it was $175.

Oh Scott you are about two weeks too late.

I posted that Dh and I were giving away our "old" lawnmower. We moved to a bigger piece of property and upgraded. Another LIF's poster got it.

Re: LAWNMOWER

Check Newsday Classified, we got one last year for $50...it's a Craftsman Rear Bagger/Mulcher. It's kind of old but it works and will do for now.

Re: LAWNMOWER

imo, you shouldn't buy it used. you don't know what you're getting, no warranty, and it may end up costing you even more than a good brand new mower would. (battery problems, motor, etc)

i think you can find them in the 250-300 price range. more than you want to spend i know, but in the long run, totally worth the investment. good luck.

Nothing wrong with a used mower - If I can get 1 to 2 years out of it.......I would be happy.

If I buy new - the cheapest I found is $160 -

We were at Sears last night getting my DH a chop saw (just another toy he won't useChat Icon ) and I saw a good craftsman mower with mulcher for $132 (on sale and I don't know how long for). I agree, I really wouldn't buy used.

I thought in another post you had one that isn't working. Why can't you just get it repaired? Wouldn't that be the cheapest option?

Re: LAWNMOWER

Because I brought it to the mower repair shop and found out the entire thing is dry rotted - the air filter disenigrated b4 my eyes.

It was made in 1974 - he said he could rebuild it but it would cost $120 - so I figured I may as well buy a new one or a used one that is a year or two old. I gave him the mower for parts

I just bought one from Sears... its either the same exact model as yours... or extremely similar.

My wife loves it.
