can you drive after an hsg?

i am going to have to go alone.... is the pain so bad you can drive? never had one before and not sure of answers..i hear some are in alot of pain and others arent. any thoughts?

Is an hsg a hysterosalpingogram or whatever it's called? If so, I had very little discomfort and was fine to drive afterwards. People gave me such big anxiety about this but for me it was fine. They told me that the pain is usually similar to really bad menstrual cramps, and since I don't really get cramps, it wasn't painful for me.

The test sucked big time for me and I was fine driving home. I went by myself.

I was a bit crampy afterward but nothing major.

I went back to work after my hsg and then drove him which is over an hour. You might be a little uncomfortable but driving is doable.

Yes, I went by myself and was fine. I even got on a plane a few hours later and out to dinner with my parents, though I did have some cramping.

Most of the pain for me was during the procedure (when they inflate and deflate the small balloon used to keep the dye it)... I was fine after.. just minor cramps.

thank you ladies...i was worried cause i think the place i am going to go to is about 45 min drive from where i live..so i was worried.... i feel more at ease now! thank you!!!!!!

I had awful cramps after. Nothing during.

I could not have drove... but it sounds like I was the minority.
