I just had my 19 week appt...

I gained 11 lbs. in 4 weeks!!! I didn't know that was possible! I had only gained 10 lbs in 15 weeks. But my Dr. had said I had a BIG growth spurt. My uterus is already measuring 22 cm which is big for 19 weeks. This is definitely going to be a big baby as well. I'm going in on Tuesday morning for an early glucose test, because my son was 10 lb 12oz. I didn't have GD with him, but they always check earlier on because of this. I'll have to do it again at 27-28 weeks. Oh well!

I also asked about the hearbeat issue I was concerned about and she said not to worry, because the baby just probably moved and I picked up my heartbeat and then it moved back again. She also said that my placenta is anterior which means it's up front so it's very easy for me to pick up my heartbeat if the baby moves.

I asked all my questions. I finally remembered to write them down.

So, so far all is good. I am now considered having a normal PG!!! Let's just hope it continues this way! Thanks, just wanted to share.

Oh also, I asked about the Braxton Hicks I have everyday, and she said with the 2nd PG it's very normal to get them so early on. If it was the first it wouldn't be until much later on.

It sounds pretty normal. I gained 8 or 9 lbs in one month right around the same time. The baby goes through a big growth spurt around this time in pregnancy. Dont worry too much about it. The following month I gained 2 lbs.

I gained about 10lbs that month too....perfectly normal. It didn't happen in any other month....THANK GOD!
