I listed it with Linda... she brought some people over. But I ended up selling it to someone Anne Donohue brought in.
I didn't sign anything with Anne Donohue (even though she wanted me to committ to her)... i left it as an open listing.
Linda is easy to work with. You can list with her... but there is no contract so you can still sell on your own if need be.

Re: DJpill...
Can I ask you what % Anne took - I spoke to her yesterday - I like Linda a lot more (plus she has helped me with my rentals for years) but I do need to be $$ conscious too.
BTW - WP is basically making me sell my apt. through a loophole rule. Im not too happy about it :(

What loophole rule? Do tell.
I got Anne down to 4%. I got Linda down to 5%.
Believe me when I say Anne knows her stuff. I didn't like her at first... but she had a very serious buyer and made the deal go real smooth.
Both Anne and Linda work together in a way. Anne is also very close to the WP management so closing will be smooth.

Re: DJpill...
I was floored when I heard this one.
After you rent for 3 years - you have to give the rentor the option to buy the apt. for the amount you bought it for!
That is crazy - I bought before the boom so I paid pennies compared to what it is worth now.
I guess that is their way of keeping investors out. When I bought it no one told me of such a thing!!! They just told me I could rent it after living there for three years.
I am sad to see the place go, but as an investor I am better off taking my money and buying a condo anyway...it was just unexpected and disappointing.

Oh... I actually knew about that rule. I am surprised you didn't know about it. Its in their handbook.
Did the renter actually agree to buy your apartment at your original price? Because they can't force you to sell it unless the renter actually has the intention of buying the place.
If they do agree to buy it... then yeah you have to find a buyer on your own... and quick.

Re: DJpill...
Yeah like I read the handbook cover to cover...not.
Anyway like I said it doesn't matter - instead of renting for the 3rd year I am going to sell it - take my money and buy something else...so in the end it will work out.

No problem.
I can't help it. I am the type of person that will read every line to every fine print on every document I get.
I don't like surprises.
