Is Prometrium dangerous to a fetus?
I've been reading online about this drug I'm considering taking and I've read that you shouldn't take it while PG because it's dangerous for a fetus by causing birth defects? If it's dangerous, why do RE's prescribe it? Now I'm worried about taking it if I do get PG at some point...

I'd just listen to your RE.
I know that on my bottle of Estrace.. it said do not take if pregnant or breast-feeding but I was instructed to take it for the first 10 weeks of my pregnancy....
I think that with some of the things we take... they are to make up for things that we lack because of our IF issues - KWIM?
So because I did a medicated FET cycle... my body wasn't doing all of the things it would have done if I had gotten pregnant without any intervention - so the meds help your body do that. A person who got pregnant on their own might not need those things...
I hope that makes some sense! haha

I was just confused because Prometrium is just Progesterone which your body makes?
Thanks!
