Is there anything that causes a short LP besides Progesterone?

I'm not sure I know a cause but I know Vitamin B6 is good for a short LP.

Inadequate follicle development could cause this also. But, unless your RE is testing you in the LP phase you wont know what is going on.

I've been taking B6 for a while now and it hasn't done anything for my LP. It's still 9 days. I've even taken a B-complex and B6 years ago and it didn't really help.

I'm not under a care of an RE right now. I've only been for my Endo for surgery. I probably will be in the somewhat near future if I don't get PG. I don't have any Infertility insurance until I'm here for 2 years and that won't be until next August. So it's just me and my OB/GYN who I trust completely. I was thinking I might trying Prometrium this upcoming cycle and see if it helps. If it doesn't lengthen it, then something else is wrong. I spoke to the nurse today and she said to go ahead and try it if my doctor said it was ok. She said she'd rather me try the "natural" way first to see if it helps before doing anything else. I don't even know if that's what I would need. We're going to TTC for a few more months and then I will start getting testing done. Hopefully I won't need it. Thanks!

had a short LP and progesterone didn't help...I actually bled more often. So, my doc said it wasn't from low progesterone. He thinks the bleeding was coming from my polyps that I got removed....haven't had any bleeding since (knock on wood!!!!!!!!!!!!).
He said if the bleeding continued, then he doesn't know where it is coming from. So, I am not sure what other reasons there are.
But, I have read that doctors typically start with progesterone for short LPs, but that is not usually the cause....
