Las Vegas in Winter?
Anyone been to Las Vegas in winter months? Is it a good or bad time to go as far as plan tickets and hotel prices? What is the best thing to do there during colder months.

Re: Las Vegas in Winter?
I went there years ago in Feb with friends. It's nice during the day... maybe 60's and night gets a little cooler. Soooo much to do during the day. Shows, gambling, tours (go take a Grand Canyon helicopter trip, ride to the Hoover Damn), walk to all the different hotels, etc.
I can't remember the prices b/c it was cheap when we went. I think it was 2002.

Re: Las Vegas in Winter?
Be prepared for the cold. I've been in November, January and February and needed a winter coat at night.
Hotel prices are best mid-week no matter what time of year you go. Holidays and long weekends are most expensive regardless of the time of year too, so if you're on a budget, try to avoid Valentine's Day, President's Day, the long MLK Jr. weekend, etc.

Re: Las Vegas in Winter?
During the colder weather I've gone in November, January and February. I've gotten some great deals on hotels, plane tix and show tix. Check Expedia as well as the individual hotels & airlines to compare.

Re: Las Vegas in Winter?
We used to go every year during the week before Christmas and ALWAYS got great deals. The week between Christmas and New Year's is obviously very expensive. The weather was always in the mid-60's to high 60's during the day (light jacket weather) and cooler at night, but I didn't need my winter coat. As mentioned above, LOTS to do during the day!

Re: Las Vegas in Winter?
Thank you, girl! This is not a final decision yet but we are definitely seriously considering it. If we go, it will be our first real vacation together in 5 years...
