Had my consult with Dr. Kreiner
I am very nervous and excited. We talked about Micro-Ivf. I would have to take Clomid for 5 days and then do 2 injections (HCG? Does that sound right?)
I am still absorbing how quickly this can happen! I have my "new patient appt" next week and then go for mine and DHs bloodwork, then the first day of AF, I go in to begin monitoring.
My head is spinning and I feel like I forgot half of what he said to me yesterday.

I have a question about egg retrieval...
did anyone here do it without anesthesia? Is it really painful? How long does it take?

I had an IVF done back in August. I only did it once and it was with the anesthesia. I'm not really sure how long it was though...probably anywhere from 15-30 minutes. And I was crampy afterwards....moreso the next 2 days than the actual day of.

My RE was Dr. Kreiner. I am not familiar with Micro-IVF. I did IVF with him once and I had anesthesia. I dont know if I would want to do it without it.
I was sore afterwards, but nothing bad.

My friend was a patient of Dr. Kreiner and did retrieval without anesthesia. She said it wasn't bad.

How is Micro-IVF different from a regular IVF cycle?
It follows your normal cycle and your natural ovulation cycle. There are no BCPs, you go in the first day of AF and they monitor your natural cycle, instead of all the injectibles you get a "mini script" for Clomid and an HCG trigger.
If you google search "Micor IVF" there is a lot more information.

Hi...I go on 11/11....for the first time...what should I expect? I already had some testing done by a different RE and was told I am AOK....DH has the problems...
Any advice?
