Broken
Well, today is two weeks since my first IUI. I went for my beta and will get results later, but I took a home test. I am so devastated to see "not pregnant" again. How do you deal with always seeing a negative?

I am so sorry. 
I usually just cry for alittle bit and then try to pick myself up and do something to get my mind off of it. Then I try to focus on the positive - if it wasn't meant to be this month then it just was not meant to be and there is always next time....

I sobbed for an entire day after my first failed IUI. The pain from the 1st failed IUI is horrible.
It DOES get easier.
Today you'll feel like crap.
Tomorrow you'll feel slightly better.
Friday----the next cycle starts.
At least the next cycle starts quickly.
U just have to try to have faith that your time WILL come.

I'm so sorry. I know this may sound dumb, but I only use the tests with the 1 or 2 lines....I did the digital once and couldn't deal with the "not pregnant" staring back at me. I sore it was flashing in neon and I broke down worse then usual.
Tomorrow will be a little better.

I go into with no expectations now. I try to lessen the blow of a negative with the hope that there is always next cycle. When we first started trying I would think Oh if I conceive now I'll be due and such and such a date....I stopped that completely.
My DH always tells me this when we get a negative. "It will happen when its our time for it to happen, our baby will come, and when it does we will be so grateful". It makes me feel better and gives me hope.
Once you start your new cycle you will feel better I always do. A new day and a fresh new start.

Ugh, I'm so sorry. It's sooo hard to deal with......and not much makes it easier.
I couldn't beleive the devastation I felt when I got my first phone call. I dont think I even wasted my time taking a HPT.
I have found that getting AF is easier than seeing a negative on an HPT......and seeing a negative on an HPT is easier than hearing the words "I'm sorry honey" when they call for your beta.
After 3 IUI's.....I took a much needed Break! I had to or would have lost my mind.
Like the PP posters said.....today will be hard, when AF comes it will be hard, by the 2nd day of AF......you'll be fine and ready to start again. I would drink a few glasses of wine to calm down my sorrows and I also know that talking about it w/ DH also helped. He would just listen to me.........and be my EAR and just let me vent....and cry......and then laugh! Then I knew I was good to go!
Still waiting for my time............

Thank you for all your kinds words. I am taking a break from crying. My DH husband has to work late, and no one else knows what we've been going through trying to have a baby. I am very thankful for this board for support and answers.

ITA! The first day is always the hardest for me. I don't bother to test on my own, I just wait it out. I would hate to be disappointed numerous times (BFN at home, BFN beta and then AF).
What helps me feel better that first day is enjoying something that I couldn't have if I was pregnant (glass of wine, sushi). Then I move forward to the next cycle.

i know how you feel. i had 3 failed iui's and it seems to get harder & harder every month seeing the negatives. Try to stay positive and keep yourself busy, our time will come.
