Any Adultish Halloweenish Main Dishes?
It will just be DH and I for Halloween, and for some unknown reason, he HATES Halloween. I'm not a huge fan, but he would turn to the lights and not give out candy if I'd let him.
I want to make a Halloweenish main dish, nothing too childish or cheesy.
I saw a recipe for shepherd's pie where you make mashed potato ghosts on top, really cute but the recipe was way too complicated for me! I'm not a big cook.
Any ideas would be appreciated!

I saw an episode of "Whatever Martha" the other night where the girls were laughing at her recipe for "Rigaboney" ( like Rigatoni.
It was pasta sauce, rigatoni, crumbled cooked sausage and cheese. Nothing kiddie- just a cute name.

It is not totally halloween related but every year my mom made stew when we were growing up and called it "witches stew"
As kids, if she tried to make stew any other night we would say we didn't like it, we only liked witches stew. Now as adults, we still look for her to make it around halloween.

Re: Any Adultish Halloweenish Main Dishes?
Thanks for the ideas!!! I might just make beef stew, since I've wanted to make it anyway.
Maybe I'll make some breadstick fingers with it too
Though those oozing eyeballs are tempting... very creative and clever these people are!

I'm making homemade pumpkin ravioli with a brown butter sage sauce. It seemed Halloweenish without being goofy.
