Retaining Walls
Has anyone built their own?
Dh wants to do this himself with bricks/pavers/stones, whatever, and I'm wondering how complicated it is...

No, not at all. I'll see if I can scan some up of one we did at our place tonight. We did it with the interlocking pavers. It was alot of manual work (verifying levelness, etc.) but it came out great and much cheaper than someone installing it.

Thank you so much Sharon. I would love to see pics!
We are having someone do the walkway, but he wants to do this himself, and I'm a little nervous about it, but would LOVE to save the money!

Re: Retaining Walls
Thank you. We ran out of funds to finish the brick around the pool and with the lack of rain, we didn't want to do much planting. This summer hopefully the yard will get done. You can't imagine how much those stupid bricks cost! Better than the mudslide we had going on back there before though. We had to find a way to level off the property to get the pool in. Thankfully we didn't get a bigger pool
