All Inclusive - How much $$ for tips?
DH & I are going to the RIU Palace in Aruba in a few weeks.
Its all inclusive so we don't have to worry about paying for meals, drinks, etc.
We'll be there for 5 days.
How much cash would you bring with you for tipping?

We went to Mexico for 6 days. We brought about $350. We came home with $150.
I tipped moderately and not all the time.

We probably tipped $15-20 a day. We really only tip if we get excellent service, we want a waiter to keep coming back, and/or we are at a bar for awhile. We gave up on tipping buffet waitresses by our third AI trip because they weren't very good or doing anything tipp-able. We always tip the room cleaners a ton though.

we went away from 10 day and took $200 with us
more then fine
$100 in ones
$100 in fives
worked out great!

We just went to Barbados for 5 days and I brought $100 in $1s and $5s for tipping. The hotel we stayed at had mostly British guests and they didn't tip at all so we ended up just tipping a couple of $ for meals and a few dollars at the bar at the end of the night. Any time we went to Mexico we definitely tipped more.

Bring as much of it in small bills as possible.

$250 in singles and $5 bills. When I stay at an AI I tip at every meal and every time we get a drink, get room service, etc. They make so little a day and every time we tip they are very appreciative. Have fun!
