New with IVF questions
My name is Melinda and I am 27 years old. I have one daughter, she is 3 years old. After she was born, I had my tubes tied at the insistence of my (now EX) husband.
I am remarried and would like to have another baby, however, because of the way my tubal was done, I am not considered a candidate for a reversal. My OB has sent me to a RE for IVF.
I have an appt. with Dr. Kreiner to discuss something called "Micro IVF".
I have no idea what to expect, and was hoping that someone here could help me.
Thank you in advance! Melinda

Re: New with IVF questions
Hi, welcome to the board. Not all of us come on here daily, and lately the board's been slow, so it may take some time to get a response. I'm not familiar with micro-ivf. I've never been a patient of Dr Kreiner's either. I have done IVF but I think a majority of the people on this board currently seem to be doing IUIs, and haven't done IVF yet. Try doing a search for micro IVF (top of the page, under the green bar) and it will bring up any old posts if there are any. Hope that helps. Good luck to you! Hopefully we can help with some other questions you may have.

Re: New with IVF questions
A few NYC REs are doing micro-IVF. My last RE, Dr. Batzofin, was a leader in the field and I know Sher Institute also have info on their website. I *think* it is the IVF process without all the drugs. There is retrieval, fertilization and transfer but they don't stimulate the ovaries as much as with regular IVF.
Good luck with everything.

ODonnell - I think you are correct on the mini IVF. It's also alot less expensive.
To the OP If you have no other fertility problems you should have no problem....Good Luck!!!
