Bobby Van's. It's an amazing steakhouse. One of the best meals of my life. We went to the one on East 54th.

Re: Romantic dinner NYC?
What kind of food would you like?
Would you like trendy or traditional romantic in terms of ambiance?

Ive been there a few times, its good but always very loud and very crowded (big restaurant with a lot of tables very close together). Its def not a romantic dining experience.

Re: Romantic dinner NYC?
Artisinal is good but I wouldnt say romantic (and the stinky cheese smell gets to me very quickly )
Blue Water Grill is fun/trendy in the downstairs jazz room (but can be a little loud if you want to talk).
One if by land, two if by sea is great!
I like Landmarc too.

Re: Romantic dinner NYC?
Artisanal is great...the best fondue in nyc! However like PP's said it is not romantic and is noisy. They stack tables right on top of each other.
If you want a trendy restaurant and up want to try different food then i would suggest with Spice Market or Buddakhan.
If you want seafood- I love Blue Water Grill and go quite frequently. I will tell u great entrees to def order!!! mmmm
If you don't mind goind to Brooklyn- River Cafe has the most amzing views of nyc and very romantic. Their food is amazing.
Landmarc at the Time Warner Center
Union Square Cafe- Also has an amazing menu- always top rated restuarants in the city. This is in a fun area in Union Square...so afterwards you could go across the street to W hotel bar for drinks. Or Coffe Shop ( which is a restaurant/bar) in that same area....which has the best mojitos in nyc.
Both Union Square Cafe and Blue Water Grill our on the same street.
Hope that helps.

DH and I went there for our first wedding anniversary. We honeymooned in Italy so it seemed appropriate. It definitely is very romantic! I remember the food was very good as well!

Re: Romantic dinner NYC?
I agree Artisanal gets very loud and not romantic at all. But hello the mac and cheese.
I love Stanton Social. But more for my girlfriends and drinks and brunch.
How about Craft?
Spice Market or Asia de Cuba for trendy.

agree with previous posters about artisanal & stanton social. both delicious but not really romantic.
