RIP Gourmet Magazine
Conde Nast is stopping publication of the magazine as of the November issue.
Such a shame, my mom gave me a subscription gift when I got married and I've since acquired a couple of their cookbooks.
Their tomato tart is my favorite summer dinner and each fall I bake gingerbread cupcakes with lemon icing. I'm really sad to see the end of this tradition

I know..it is so sad. Ou neighbor was the Senior food editor there...and needless to say she is now unemployed. She was there 30+ yrs.
I feel bad for her.
We live in the city in an apartment. So she lives right next to us on our floor. I smell the most amazing foods coming from her door.

btw: can you post the gingerbread recipe. Sounds so good.
Here you go. They call for a lot of ingerdients, but are so worth it!
