Asherman's Syndrome (update 10/8)
So, it looks like this is what they found during my procedure last week, it wasnt a polyp, as he originally thought. I still have this balloon in my nether regions and hopefully it will come out onThursday. I'm hoping he got most of the scar tissue out and doesn't have to repeat this again; please pray for me that he doesnt have to...I really dont know if I can do this again. I've been in alot of pain. Now I have to start Premarin to rebuild the lining in my uterus and hopefully, it will work out and start IVF... ---------------------------------------------------- 10/8 Well, it's out!!!! After 8 days, the balloon is gone!!! I feel so much better. He asked if I could hang on a day or so more if he w/drew some of the liquid in the balloon, but 2 days ago he said if he did that the balloon would probably fall out, and I'd rather it not fall out when I am at home, on the weekend when he is not in the office. He reviewed the pathology and it was fine; no cancer, thank God! He also reviewed my CD3 b/w, which we hadnt even discussed yet. Turns out all of my levels are normal, every single one of them. The only question we have is how the heck did I get this scar tissue. Well, its out and he says I need to wait for my period to come down and for healing before anything happens. Thanks for all of the well wishes and prayers!

Re: Asherman's Syndrome
Well, at least you know what the problem is and now they can work on fixing this so you can get pg. I wish you lots of luck and I hope the pain goes away. Did they give you something for it? They thought originally I had this. But, there was only a little bit of scar tissue.

Re: Asherman's Syndrome
Thanks ladies...I cannot wait until tomorrow when this thing comes out. I am taking motrin 800 mg like every 4 hours. Sometimes I dont have pain, just discomfort and thank God I have been able to sleep. I need to talk to my doctor when about how the heck I got this Asherman's Syndrome. I've done some reading and it says it is a result of scarring from D&C following abortions or miscarraiges, which I have never had. That or getting pelvic tuberculosis if you've lived in a 3rd world country I'm thinking this is probably one of the reasons I havent conceived, so I'm hoping this procedure will help me to move on to IVF. I pray it will

It prevents the wall of the uterus from adhering together while healing.
