Had my hysteroscopy/polyectomy yesterday

So, I was NPO since midnight 9/29 and didnt have the procedure done until almost 7 pm! It was scheduled for 4 pm, but one of the doc's surgeries took a little longer than expected.
Well, what he thought was just a polyp, turns out to be scar tissue in my uterus, apparently what you would expect after a miscarriage or an abortion. Well, I have never had an abortion and I've never been pregnant. I was still kind of woozy afterwards, but I will need to call him tomorrow and get more info.
Of course I do my internet search today and came up with Asherman's Syndrome? Anyone here ever experience that?
So, I am resting today, tomorrow and all weekend...I am pretty sore and crampy. Oh, and the icing on the cake is that I have a intrauterine balloon, its not as bad as I thought it would be, I am coping.
Hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery are accepted here Chat Icon
Thanks for reading.

Re: Had my hysteroscopy/polyectomy yesterday

I had that also. Though I didn't have as much scar tissue as was originally thought before the surgery (turns out I have a t-shaped uterus). They put that balloon in me also. I thought it was to stretch the uterus but its there so as you are healing you don't get scar tissue back. Unfortunately, my balloon fell out 20 minutes after I got home. Which of course freaked me out. But, all healed fine. After 3 days I was almost back to normal and all my scars have healed up and I can't even see them anymore (I also had laproscopy done at the same time).

Good luck to you. I hope this solves your problem.
