at least our cats are earning their keep
Last night, DH looked at the dishwasher (which had the "clean" light on) and thanked me for running the dishwasher this morning. I was like, "huh? I didn't run the dishwasher..." DH swore he didn't run it, and I KNOW I didn't run it.
So, it seems like our cats did the dishes yesterday!  They must have hit just the right button while trying to jump onto the countertop.
Now if I could only teach them to fold laundry! Or even better, if I could get my horses to pay for their board and vet bills. . .

One of them even makes photocopies. He has figured out that if he hits the right button on our printer, it will make a photocopy. This is one of his FAVORITE things to do -- hit the buttn and watch the paper come out. I'm pretty sure it's also Mickey who likes to "aerate" the soil in our potted plants. If only he were neater about it.
They have less endearing skills, too -- like opening the linen closet and pulling out all of the pillowcases (but only pillow cases)... They also love drinking out of the toilet, but they're so small, they have to put their front feet IN the toilet to do so. *sigh* They can also open drawers. Why do they open drawers? To find PENS. Yes, pens. They are really, really obsessed with pens.
Cindy, I'll see what they can do as far as sweeping the floors. So far, the closest they have come is removing the mats from the kitchen. Maybe they are just prepping to sweep when they do that!

Tell me about it! I always only had one cat at a time... so I am not convinced that having two together gives them super powers.
