I am mental...help me out here...bread and chowder
so, I am making new england style fish chowder for dinner tonight.
it will have potatoes, carrots..the whole 9.
should I serve bread with it?
I should add that I cannot eat warmed bread without butter...and I think the bread with butter plus the milk in the chowder is making me balk...too much fat maybe???
or maybe I am just mental. 
do you serve bread with your chowder?

Heck yes! I love to sop it up! I don't use butter on my bread though, but I love it with chowder

I don't eat chowder but DH would eat it with crusty bread dipped in the chowder.

I've actually made croutons and put them in my chowder! So it's still bread, just crunchy and you don't need butter!

definitely!
I would just put on a TEENSY bit of butter if you need it - but usually when I dip it into chowder, I don't use butter

What about serving it in a bread bowl? I've done that before with Potato & Cheese Soup, it's yummy. You can dip the top in the soup and the bread bowl absorbes the other yumminess. I usually use the small round loaves that they make at the supermarket bakery.

oooh...I could do bread bowls...haven't done that in a while.
I really don't understand why I am so bizarre about bread today...except that I ate a copious amount of it yesterday
